Worf's Uniform 7th Season

Thanos007

Lieutenant Commander
Red Shirt
What is up with Worf's uniform. It's this bright yellow compared to everyone else's dirty mustard/gold. And they do look dirty.

IDK, there were greenish/teal unis onscreen at the same time with the blues, and they were all supposed to be blue.

I think the dyes faded on those. It's like the awful non-collar original TNG uniforms still seen on background actors in the mid-seasons, they used them till they simply couldn't be worn. That was a good feature of the FC uniforms, that grey jacket hid wear, tear, sagging, and fading much better.

Yeah surely the could put an old one in the replicator and have a fresh one made from it. :D

Maybe officers can choose the shade of their uniforms. Red, yellow and blue are the basic colours but everybody can choose some certain shade they want.

Perhaps there are few to choose from so all the unforms aren't the exact same colour.

But the real question is, is it green, or is it gold? :guffaw:
LOL!!! Actually Kirk's command uniform debate should be green or mustard, the duty uniform never looked gold, the gold nonsense came from DS9's Trials and Tribblelations farce.

Not exactly a uniform then

Yeah, nah. They ain't gonna refer to their command uniform as mustard tho, innit?

Uniforms of the future....? :)
If the clothing doesnt look alike, it's not a uniform. It would be like me calling mashed potatoes with splenda ice cream of the future. Yes, it is mushy and sweet but it just doesn't meet the definition.

Perhaps the uniforms of the future are close enough if they have the same design and colour almost matches.

Or the department who was in charge of the uniforms on the show got their fabrics from more than one source.... :)

When I was I the Army some people would have these Camouflage uniforms that were really faded out. They'd keep wearing them until someone that outranked them in the unit would tell them to go buy new uniforms.

Also I had this old wool sweater that I had bought at a surplus store years before I even went into the Army. I wore that one until it wore out and then some guy I knew bought me another one that was newer.
The rule on the sweater was that it was a previous issued item and that you could wear it until it wore out. But they were wern't standard issue anymore when I was in.:guffaw:

So the people in the background were permitted to wear their onesie uniforms until they wore out, and I guess the same with the color faded uniform, wear it until some higher ranking person tells you to pitch it out.

Maybe ship's replicators had a hard time with the finer points of consistent tactility of textiles. So when someone lucked into a uniform that fit right & felt comfy, they hung onto it for dear life. It would also explain why in 7 years each main character was shown rewearing the same half dozen civvies. Chaffed nipples are no laughing matter lol

This is now my head canon :guffaw:
