Worf in "Picard"

But still better than <fill in the blank generic> police procedural of the day.
I would still prefer that Enterprise be about Robert April. He was the real first captain of the Enterprise.

As for "police procedural of the day"... do you mean those of 10-20 years ago or thereabouts? There are some episodes of Law & Order I've seen half a dozen times. Ditto for the original CSI. These were on A&E, and my dad would have that channel on all the time; he'd watch whatever was on it, whether it was a cop show, lawyer show, documentary, or whatever else.

That's actually the exact same way I watched ENT when I went through the series in 2010. Just on in the background. Some of it stood out. Most of it was kind of just there. I don't get what people who like the show see in it, but I also don't think it deserved the kind of hate it got way back when. I just feel indifferent.

Basically my feelings, as well. Didn't hate it, didn't really like it. Made it through two seasons with the odd additional episode here and there, but...eh.

Eventually we'll all run into that one Star Trek series we don't like. It happens. The trick is to not act like a constant, total jerk about it like some people do...

Well said. With one exception. It's perfectly okay to trash-talk Voyager lovers at every opportunity because, seriously, you're a fan of Voyager????

Agree to disagree on that one. I at least felt invested in the characters.

I also had other scifi to watch other than ENT. It didn't hook me in with "Broken Bow" or the following episode.

Take a look at a photo of any US president during their initial campaign, and after they leave office. Stress can induce rapid aging. I would expect living through a nuclear war a post-apocalyptic "horror" would be at least as stressful...

Plus Cochrane could have changed his outlook on life after First Contact, and his interactions with the Ent-E crew.

See what I said above. Shows how much I paid attention to the series or remembered.

I don't have any animosity toward any of the Trek incarnations, I enjoyed them all.
A few of the individual episodes in each on the other hand...
:ack:
