Worf in "Picard"

I find it hard to believe they'd kill off all three of them, one of them sure, but I could see them wanting to keep at least most of the alive for appearances in future seasons.
They may imply they're dead but not explicitly say it, leaving the door open for their return in future seasons.

I know Micheal Dorn has talked about wanting to play Worf again in the past, but what about Gates McFadden and Levar Burton? Have they ever addressed playing Beverly and Geordi again?

Gates was posing in Crusher character on her Instagram, take from that what you will :)

The Remans always seemed intentionally modeled on nosferatu to me.
Yes, people involved with the production of NEM said in advance that the Remans would be "Nosferatu-like" or something like that. At the time, I assumed that basically meant Romulans with paler complexions and sharper, more angular features. When I saw what they actually came up with, I thought it was way overboard.

As of Discovery S2, Klingons look basically as they did in the next gen era, so I assume they'll go with the updated version for Worf.
It's a shame, they looked cooler in S1.

I disagree, and am highly doubtful. Disco Klingons look like what Odo would look like if he tried to impersonate Worf.

In the novel, Picard immediately thinks of how silly Robert and him found Nosferatu when they were kids, and has to suppress a smile when he first sees the viceroy.

I have a feeling they will update his makeup -- just like they updated Kor, Koloth, and Kang for DS9 "Blood Oath".

The general look between TNG-era Klingons and Discovery Season 2 Klingons is not so different that they couldn't update Worf and have him still look like Worf. The makeup change would be far less than the change made to Kor, Koloth, and Kang in DS9 versus their TOS look.

Here is Worf (from First Contact, I think) compared to Discovery Season 2 L'Rell:

It should be noted even though L'Rell's season 2 makeup was "lighter" it was still a full face mask. No part of her other than around her eyes isn't covered with latex in that shot. They even continued to build up her lips with an extra layer of latex throughout the season. Thus it still was likely a fairly big impediment to her performance.

I agree that some tweaks should still be made if the prosthetics are greatly hindering the actors. My point was more about which look would Klingons (including Worf) have if they were to appear in "Picard": A TNG-era look or the Discovery Look?

I'm going to say it would be the Discovery look. Just like Berman continued the TNG look of Klingons throughout his stable of series, I think Kurtzman/New CBS Trek would use the same Klingon look throughout all of their series.

None of the TNG characters are part of the mission, the new characters are going to be the ones he's actually going out on his new mission with. The TNG characters are just going to be in fairly small, maybe recurring roles. Data might be playing a bigger part that Riker and Troi, but he's still not going to be a major character.

Exactly. It's not remotely TNG 2.0. Picard is on some kind of renegade ship with a motley crew of all new characters.

The TNG folks are going to be limited to cameos in a small number of episodes. Data, by Spiner's own admission, will be in more, but not all eps. And, as speculated/hinted, he is arguably going to be a dream or a hologram or something "not real".

These fears about "TNG 2.0" are downright laughable.

Glad if Worf is not in Picard. No KlingOrks please. Re-watching DS9 right now has reminded me just how BAD the STD KlingOrks are. As for the season 2 "improvements" : lipstick on a pig.

They're not going to redesign Worf's look just to give it some retroactive continuity with Discovery, especially since, thanks to the time jump, we won't even be seeing those characters again and since DIS took great steps to make the klingons in S2 far more like the ones we saw in TNG/DS9.

Worf has been in more episodes of Trek than any other character by a huge margin. He has a well-known and iconic look. If he did show up, they're not going to make him unrecognizable.

These fears are laughable.

I don't understand all the TNG hate. Why would appearances of main characters of still one of the best Trek series be anything else but fun? Even a complete TNG 2.0 surely wouldn't have to be bad... what would be wrong with that? Do all you guys not like TNG at all? From my POV, any overlap with TNG stories, characters, references would be great. And it would actually be weird for a show about the TNG captain to leave out any connection whatsoever to TNG, right? XD

The people here complaining about that want new stories and adventures, not nostalgia.

Having familiar character does not in any way preclude new stories and adventures. And if one is allergic to nostalgia in general, then this is the wrong show for them. The whole concept is build around the return of a beloved actor in their most iconic role, certain amount of nostalgia is given.
