And I agree with not having children on starships, too...however, he should have stayed in very frequent contact, and should have taken shore leave on Earth to be with his son whenever he could.

And you'd think his own parents would have tried as well.

Which only makes it worse: Either they didn't bother communicating because they may have KNOWN Worf didn't want to see Alexander...

OR

They tried and Worf wouldn't take their calls!
