I now have an "afro-engineered' Pavilion Ze4300 running Linux of a sort so I can surf again when I'm not all %*&(*&(* in pain.

Bummer about the pain. When I had my transplant I was specifically told that the policy regarding pain medication was VERY liberal and that I shouldn't hesitate to ask for it. Turns out they weren't lying, my orders called for 3000mg of Vicodin every two hours should I request it.

You should tell your doctor if you're hurting, there's no reason to be in pain in a damned hospital.

Sorry, I tried, but I can't be that mean. I've been in and out of hospital with heart stuff over the past few years, so I know it's pretty lame. Hope you get better soon man. x

Anyway, they feed me well here, and the wife has a new cookbook "cooking for people with kidney problems" or something like that. Tonight I had mushroom cassarole from the hospital service and some sort of low everything enchilada from the wife unit. It's not the whole enchilada but still darn tasty.

MEANWHILE frankenlaptop is working better than I had hoped. Its an old HP "afro-engineered" with IBM and Dell parts (and a soldiering iron + pliers) in a custom metal case.

Yeehaw, I guess. Could be worse.
