@JKM I’m so sorry to hear that you’ve gone through all that, especially as a kid. That sounds very difficult.

I’m glad your periods have seemed to become more consistent.
I was just told a few weeks ago that I need to have a laparoscopy and possibly an HSG for endometriosis. I looked online for support forums but I couldn’t find anything.
I have super painful periods even though I’m on lo-estrin birth control. I have cramps pretty much ever day, even when I’m not menstruating. I’ve also had post-coital bleeding since I was about 18. Lately there’s been a lot of pain during sex, to the point where I’m doubling over afterward sometimes. My last period lasted a full two weeks, that’s when I decided to go in to the OB and see what was wrong.
I’m hoping if they have to do the HSG it’s at the same time as the laparoscopy. I don’t want to have to get surgery twice in a few months.
If you don’t mind me asking, have you had a laparoscopy? What was your recovery like? I’ve never had surgery and I’m a nervous wreck.
