WOLVERINE director search down to 8

Posting here and XM:DoFP since it seems it could be relevant to both.

James Mangold hints that Wolverine could tie into DoFP?

Cryptic answer:
Asked on Twitter how The Wolverine fitted into the timeline, director James Mangold (pictured top with Jackman) rather cryptically suggested the story spanned many periods, tweeting: "I can't answer you now nor could I answer before, but after everything is over I can answer, and that, in itself may be an answer."

The pics in the link beg the question that if the text on those are correct it wouldn't make sense in a period piece Wolverine film at this time along the films main mutant timeline.

This link has some more spy photos from on set filming.

It seems that is a leftover from filming of The Great Gatsby. Look at the trailer, minute 1:13.

The Jean Grey School being used in the film does indeed bring up interesting questions. It will be interesting to see how it's used. I'm getting more excited about this.

I'm not surprised at all. Hugh has been fully committed and dedicated to this project since the first time he read Chris McQuarrie's script.

Will we have enough footage for some type of teaser over the Thanksgiving-Christmas period? Seems like that would be a nice spot for one. They've been filming for what, 2 months+ now? Maybe some footage that doesn't require f/x. How involved is it to take just raw footage and get that ready?

They've been filming since sometime in July I believe. I don't think we'll see any teaser footage until early next year. Remember this is Fox. It was some time before the marketing began for First Class and fans were complaining about that.

The marketing for First Class kinda sucked, though.

Anyway, decent promo pick for what it intended to show. The out of focus Buddhist Temple in the background could have been a little more in focus but, like I said, that's not what they were intending to show ;)

That's pretty impressive. I didn't expect to see him quite that buff.

The guy is practically obsessed with working out.

Jackman actually looks really lean in the "Wolverine" photo. It's like someone used photoshop to trim his size down.

He actually looks bigger in this pic

If there's ever a senate hearing on actors who take HGH I wouldn't be surprised if Chris Hemsworth or Hugh Jackman are RUMORED to be taking it.

^I also thought that he looked slimmer in the promo pic than in many of the behind-the-scenes pics or leaked photos we've seen to date. He bulked up an awful lot while Aaronovsky was attached to the movie but he's looking lean and ripped in that pic.

Quite sickeningly good shape, either way.

Viper is looking awesome. I'm seriously ready for a trailer now...we probably won't get one until early next year, but I'd be pleasantly surprised if we got a teaser in the next couple of months :)

Why? It's for one scene where it's tied up - you have absolutely no idea if it's a disguise, how it will look all the way through the film or well... anything.
