That did occur to me about Toymaker, but that then opens up the question of whether the animators might find it easier to have more freedom to indulge their imaginations, rather than reproducing reference images.
I don't want the animators bloody imaginations. I want something that looks like the original episode.
I don't mind the animators taking some artistic license. After all, recreating the live action episodes exactly as they would have appeared is pretty much impossible. The live action actors have so many individual tics & subtleties to their performances that the animators just can't replicate. In lieu of that, I'd like for the animators to at least do the best job they can to make the episodes visually stimulating in their own way.
