As for appearing as kirk. Highly doubt it. Not because of his age but because kurtzmans trek production is finished. Theres nowhere that shatners kirk can make an appearance now. Hes moved on to other things now. The kirk ending as bad as it was is what we got and we have to live with it.

Yup. I think they killed kirk off prematurely. He was only in his mid 60s. Stewart played picard until his early 60s and came back in his late 70s. It seems the powers that be just weren't interested in shatners kirk. They offed him thinking that the next Gen crew would be just as successful in movies or more so but it turned out not to be true. Also Kirk being stuck on a bridge that collapses wasn't the ending I think everyone envisioned.

I think it was just the reason you gave that some here disagreed with. But it doesn't matter. The outcome is still the same.
Well, saying "never" is a very definitive answer. Like something spoken from a position of power or authority, as if you were the head of Paramount. While others here would rather discuss the possibility of him coming back since it produces more conversation, even if that possibility is low.
Also, you keep going back to how old he is as the defining reason behind your answer "never" and that might come across as ageism to some.
They had the opportunity not to waste screen time on (WS) Kirk. They took it. Nice.

Eh, he was killed twenty-eight years after the character was introduced. Nothing premature about that. Besides, with a few notable exceptions, the TOS cast were finished with Star Trek in 1994 anyway, no harm in bringing a permanent end to Kirk at this stage in the game.

Shatner works constantly still. Its not like he has to be an action hero. He was listening to the offer two years ago so was considering it. They offered him s poor story so he declined. I believe it was the story of an alternate kirk that stayed with Edith Keeler that Akiva wanted to do. I dont blame shatner for turning it down. It sounded awful.

Shatner didn't turn it down, it never developed into anything more than a "wouldn't it be great if..." kind of outline. An offer was never made to Shatner.
Shatner claimed they were talking to him about a role. From the available data we have we can conclude that it was the idea Akiva talked about. They were trying to get him. They were cancelled before they could come up with something shatner would agree to.
There's no evidence of that.
I only made the conclusion on the available evidence at hand. If I hear sonething more it may alter my conclusion.
