It looks like we won't get another new episode of Star Trek Discovery til next year, just wondering how many out there will stay subscribed.

How does keeping a streaming service when there are no new episodes equal to supporting Star Trek? CBS, possibly yes, but not Trek. I don't think that anyone should keep a streaming service if there is nothing interesting to watch.

Yeah, I do not have cable or anything so there is enough value in it, with programs the wife likes and local channel to keep it.

Same here---dropped cable about 5 years ago. HBO Now, CBSAA, and Netflix keeps us happy with an occasional season pass for a show on iTunes.

I was about to cancel but I kept it going to watch the live feeds of the rest of Celebrity Big Brother, though I realize I'm probably in the minority here. I'm guessing the Venn diagram of Trekkies and BB fans doesn't have a lot of overlap.

Probably not. I might keep it a month or two after, but not more than that. There's nothing on CBS All Access that I find worth watching.

Even if CBS ALL Access has something else worth watching you could still drop it and just watch that stuff during the same time period of when season 2 gets going. If I want a free pass for HBO for example which I am sure I will get I am going to wait until "Silicon Valley" finishes it's season and then just binge watch it and then you get a whole month to watch other HBO stuff if you want. Don't forget free trials are always a option!

I opted out after the finale and told them why. I also told them I'd be back for S2.
Same here. I commented that I really enjoyed the first season and that I'd return for Season 2. I also did mention it was the only thing on their service I was interested in at the moment.

I cancelled after the finale and told them why. Will resubscribe when season 2 starts, I can afford $6 a month.

I'm not decided yet either. I only subscribed for Discovery. I suppose I could re-watch S1, or watch older Trek series, but Hulu and Netflix also offer old Trek as does a free local TV channel.

I was already a subscriber, so I am keeping it. We use it to watch Survivor, Big Brother, The Big Bang Theory, The Good Fight, and any other CBS shows that catch our fancy without commercials.

There really isn't anything else I watch on their service, and I already have Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime. My friend hasn't watched the finale yet, though, so I think I'm gonna convince him to binge watch the last few episodes with me this weekend and then, yeah, putting my account on hiatus until season 2.

I will say, though, their deal with Amazon is the only reason I subscribed in the first place. I tried the demo weekend on their app and omg it was terrible! I have a slight audio processing delay, so I like to have the captions on when I watch, and they were illegible! The Prime app works so much better, so I'm glad to be able to stream through there.
