That's the rub. I could see spending this much on an extremely comfortable captain's chair, but I just can't see Kirk's chair being a one you could fall asleep in. For that kind of money, I'd require that.

It all depends on what/who I get to command. I try to command my cats, but they just look at me with their "Oh, come on, Mom -- you know who is really in charge here, and it's not you!" expressions.

If I could command it to fire phasers at my neighbors, that'd be nice. And photon torpedoes at anybody else who comes around uninvited.

Didn't get a chance to sit in Kirk's chair but I did Picard's in Vegas and I though that wasn't bad, so Kirk's must be nice.

What's more comfortable than those though? The chair for Ops and Navigation on the E-D bridge. Now those I could fall asleep in!
