Will you be taking anyone else to see it??

I'm in Venezuela (YES, I KNOW...) and I'm getting 15 persons... people DO YOUR JOBS GOD-DAMN-IT!!! STAR TREK NEEDS YOU!

I will be going alone initially. Most of the people I know have a bad habit of wanting to talk during movies or in general just make their presence known. I don't want any distractions when seeing the movie for the first time. If they want to go see XI, I'll go with them afterwards.

Its pretty weird but....

I found a GIRL who is into TREK and for some reason likes hanging around ME.

I didn't think such a being existed. We'll will probably go together on the 8th.

lol nice.
(but just to let you know there are female trek fans. I am one myself and have another one as a friend so that's at least 2 :))

I have a whole crew going with me on the 7th. Don't know how many exactly but at least 5. Can't wait.

My current child being indoctrinated into Trek will be having a day off school to see it on the opening day with me. Some purchasing of byproducts will take place.

I will probably rewatch it with other family members later.

My parents, my two brothers, and my cousin (who knows Star Trek but isn't a fan) and I are all going at 7:30 pm May 7th, at the Ontario Edwards Palace 22 & IMAX. If my dad is willing to spend $11.00 for a ticket to a movie, you know this has to be something special.

bringing a friend who has never had any interest in Trek. he saw the trailer and asked if he could tag along.

Yup, already purchased 5 tickets (the whole family), i'm the real trekkie in the bunch but everyone else is casual-fan enough that they'll go along and (i'm sure) enjoy it. Can't wait... only two weeks!

My schools Visual Effects department is all going opening night with me, and then the next weekend I am going home from school to go with some old high school friends who always made fun of me for Star Trek, but now can't wait to see this. Plus, the second time, we are seeing it in IMAX.

I'm going with a college friend and an old high school friend the first Friday. I'm thinking of trying to get a crew gathered up that would be interested in seeing it down at the Imax too.

I find it really hard to enjoy a Star Trek film if I'm taking non-fans. I worry over everything which could come off bad to them, and it takes away from my enjoyment of it.

I'm going to be working away from home in late May, and I'm worried that my boss and a co-worker will want to see the film with me...

Yeah, I'll be taking my non-Trek fan girlfriend to the midnight showing. :) I'll surely then see it many times after that with various people of all different ranges of fandom.

Actually, I might go on my own.

I'm a real softy, and I know I might well up when Leonard Nimoy comes on!

I cried when Spock died!

12 of us are going to see it, I was hoping for 7-8, but now it is 12 :D Saturday 9th, either 5.45 or 8.45, was hoping for IMAX, but not sure if i can get 12 tickets all in the same area :(....

CaptRayDay2 & Brent :( feel for you, no brothers, no sisters :(

I don't have brother either, if I did, we'd prolly go and see the movie together...

My forum friends are coming though, should be fun, few like sci-fi , not start trek, we'll see how that turns out :)

Myself, my sister and two of my friends are the crew thus far.

My fiancee will be doing something else. Anything else.

Probably!? PROBABLY!?!?

I'm telling you as a 38yo life-long male Trekkie...don't NOT do something you will regret for the rest of your life!

INVITE* THIS GIRL TO SEE THE MOVIE WITH YOU - NOW!!!

*(Like, you know - on a date and all...)

As for me...I will be going with my three kids. They really REALLY want to go see this - which is amazing because, other than the exception of my 8yo daughter, who likes the TOS & DS9 tribble episode - I have *NEVER* been able to get them to watch ANY Star Trek before!!!

Say what you want abut Abram's Trek - but because of it I can *FINALLY* share my love of Star Trek with my kids!

(My ex-wife's 3 year son is the only one who will watch Star Trek with me...but he prefers Doctor Who...lol...but he's too fidgety to take to a movie - last time I tried taking him and his 5yo sister to see "Rattatouli" I had to spend most the film in the lobby with him...BIG MISTAKE.)

My ex-wife says she want to come with us too...but she always flakes out when she says she wants to see a movie with us...

If I lived back in my home state of Arizona...we'd probably go see it with the local Browncoat group...the Phoenix group will likely plan a shindig around it...

(I'd love to see a midnight showing...but I dunno if the new theater our podunk town's getting will be up and open by then...and I don't think our little 2-plex ever does midnight screenings... I've been thinking of driving out of town to catch one, but I dunno if my kids would all be able to stay awake that long, and I dunno want to go alone...I kinda want to see it the first time with them. Still, it will be hard to avoid the temptation to drive out-of-town to catch a midnight show...)
