I like DISCOVERY...,
Just not enough to actually pay extra for it. (beyond the cost of my Internet service with SPECTRUM)

I'm guessing the show doesn't have much rewatch value?
I bailed six episodes in. It was the only thing I watched on CBSAA, and a lot of the content is available on other services. Personally, I would resubscribe for the new Twilight Zone before I'd do it for DISCO.
Also, I'm noticing a fair number of people cancelled CBSAA after the season finale, seemingly immediately after. I'm guessing the show doesn't have much rewatch value?
I might watch the Mudd episode again, once I have All Access, but that's about it.
It really doesn't. I went back and watched a handful of episodes a second time, but beyond that there's no desire to sit through the rest of them again.
I also don't have Cable and I don't go to the movies anymore due to their increased cost.If I can pay 9.50 to see a shitty 2-hour movie with a cookie-cutter plot, sit in an uncomfortable seat, watch 15 mins of commercials and previews, drive to-and-from the theater for the mediocre experience, and be over-charged for snacks and beverages to an absurd level...I have no problem whatsoever paying the same amount for a show I enjoy that I can watch in my own home whenever I choose as many times as I want.
To me, that's the easiest purchase decision I've ever made.
(Side note: I basically got season 1 for free due to a CBS All Access gift card aa a birthday gift. Knowing the person who got it the first time, I'll likely get it for Christmas. Awesome people For The Win!)

I hope they gave it to you knowing you would use it to watch Star Trek. Otherwise it seems way to weird. If I want a gift card, give me amazon gift card, it’s practically cash. If a friend were to give me say, a red lobster gift card, I’d have one less friend.
The do?!I do like that they've got the unremastered TOS episodes on cbs
