And if that happens, how different will it look like, compared to Picard?

Put a spoiler tag in place for the case some one has some information from the production side of things, like it happened with the Enterprise bridge during Season 2 ;)

I'd love to see something like post-Empire Trantor from the Foundation series or that medieval, post-apocalyptic, Canticle-for-Leibowitz-style Earth from Babylon 5's The Deconstruction of Fallen Stars, complete with a secret group working from the shadows to speed up their recovery so that they could rejoin the galactic community as soon as possible. I think it could be interesting to see a Star Trek take on this, especially how the Prime Directive would come into the picture.

At any rate, I'd personally love to see an Earth that's not among the six remaining members of the Federation, because that would be an interesting dynamic, even without reducing the planet to rubble. Maybe an Earth that's still more or less as utopian as it was in the 24th century, but its people are hopelessly out of touch with the fact that they're no longer relevant to the rest of the galaxy.

I'm not a big fan of post-apocalyptic wastelands, but considering that the Federation is supposed to have fallen or something like that, I imagine that's what we would get.

Or perhaps Earth is still technologically advanced and prosperous, but Earth is now isolationist, with something like the old Terra Prime group now running things. So only humans are welcome on Earth, and most humans prefer not to venture outside of Sector 001 anymore.

But then an unsung hero rises up to challenge the status quo.
And he should be played by Brian Brophy. :shifty:

Earth was conquered and people live under Romulan/Klingon/Whatever rule. That would be interesting...

My guess is it won't be there. So they assume long destroyed, but it's actually been moved to a far away star system.

I’m still predicting that Earth has left the Federation, became isolationist and that it leaving caused others to leave, leading to the fall of the Federation. Basically a Brexit story, Earth as UK and the Federation as the European Union. It’ll be up to Discovery to get Earth to rejoin.

So yes, I do think we’ll see earth.

Perhaps it'll be the fate of the 31st century M.U. Earth. After Terran Empire enslaved the Klingons and Romulans in the 24th century it's time for the latter races to return the favor... ;);)

It will be a dystopia wasteland filled with angry self aware ape people yet for some reason the Golden Gate Bridge will still have solar panels on them because the ape people decided to keep them going meaning those things have been around for thousands of years.
