Will they ever paint the bridge?

Awesome

It's so bright! All the time! I just want them to tone it down a little bit. Is that so much to ask? :p

Meh. I've seen so many different bridge colours and arrays, I don't really care. And given the lengths gone to make it look the way it does, especially since they left it the same after repairing the damage from the story, I wouldn't bet on it being anything other than bright and white (as long as Bad Robot is the production company).

I know. It's just really the one thing about the new movies that I don't like. The design of the bridge is fine, but it needs some frickin' color. All the other bridges we've seen have had color!

They can even keep it mostly white. Just add some color detail so it's not so blinding.

...pretty sure they're gonna stick with the Apple Store look. They even have the bar code scanners in there.

I love it bright, just get rid of the flares from the flash lights being shone into the lens.

While the color scheme is far too bright. I think this was address in 2009 that the decor was borrowed from the Star Wars aesthetics. 1701=good (white), ala Rebel Blockade Runner & Nero's ship=bad (dark), ala Star Destroyer interior (grey-black scheme).

The Vengeance bridge was awesome... like Motion Picture mixed with the new bridge. Sadly, since the Venegeance is reviled by almost everybody else, hopes for the Vengeance being a replacement Enterprise (and so a new bridge) are a little far.

I don't mind the new bridge. It seems more ergonomic than the TNG bridge at any rate.

I rather like the white look of the new Enterprise. It actually taps into the concept of the original series various technological designs. It's high-tech, clean technology that is very streamlined and simple. I like that.

...until you get to engineering.

Sure, but I think it's fair to say the nature of the idea is more spit and polish than reality. Even in TOS when they pulled off a panel there was all kinds of piping, wiring, circuit boards and so forth. It was only a surface level notion.

I love the bridge! I think its perfect! And I like that they kept it exactly the same as it was in ST09....

Nope and they shouldnt, the film ended with them off on their 5 year mission so anything you saw at the end of this film has to be the same next time in theory (none of this Phaser and Tricorder props mysteriously upgrading like in Voyager).

The only thing I dont get about this bridge is the bar-code readers... what are they supposed to do other than be set dressing?

Same goes for the rest of the ship, its perfect, the crew areas are nicely finished while the Engineering and service areas are a little more exposed.
