Will the Royal Wedding cause schedule issues for Doctor Who?

You just know RTD would have done an ep where the Archbiship gets abducted by aliens and Ten has to step in and perform the service...

That probably would have happened if RTD and Tennant stayed around since they LOVED modern London. Ten would have probably made some remark in the season premiere

Ten- I was at that wedding. I'll say this, werewolves know how to party.

;)

Given the Doctors string of bad luck with Royalty ( especially English Queens) shagging Kate can't turn out well.

The Doctor- Take off your wedding ring!

Kate-Why?

The Doctor- Because it's rewriting your DNA. You won't be you in an hour.

Kate- Who will I become?

The Doctor-......Diana

Dun Dun Dun!

Dun Dun Dun!

nobody cares about the royal wedding. except how much it'll cost us.

Speak for yourself.

Personally I'm in two minds over it.

I'm just old enough to remember his parents' wedding, I've seen photos of the neighbourhood street party.

You only have to look at the state funeral of the Queen Mother, to see there is still a lot of respect for the tradition of the monarchy.

We don't have the wedding of the heir to the throne very often (fortunately!) After this it might only happen another once or twice in my life time!

Might as well make the most of it.

I'll take the bank holiday which we should have more of anyway but it's beyond me why anyone would care about a wedding of people they don't actually know.

Well people like the occasion, Lord knows we get precious few chances to celebrate and be proud of being British these days.

With regards to the wedding it's self...I have a slim interest. I remember watching Diana and Charles wedding when I was a kid, I was into the monarchy when i was little. I have a small interest so I may check it out. It's a big event. I dunno. It's not a must see thing though to me lol.

Ah let Charles be King, he probably won't reign for long but it must be kinda thankless being heir to the throne when your mum looks like she'll go on for a good while yet. I need to check whether Charles will be the oldest king to ascend, I know William IV was pretty old...

the RT for the Royal Wedding won't be the same one for the return of Who. RT runs Saturday to Friday. Wedding's Friday 29, Next issue starts Saturday April 30.

Sigh... Saturday 23rd April is Easter Saturday. Who usually (as of the last few years) starts on Easter Saturday. The RT cover for 23-29th is definitely a Royal Wedding cover, as there's a competition to design it in the current RT.
There's a bunch of possibles. but the simplest is that Who'll start on Easter Saturday, and RT will have a Who cover the week before (like it often does just before Christmas).

Or they won't have one, or the winning entry will feature both the (happy) royal couple and the Doctor etc.

And I've decided that weekend to either go camping with my Scouts and miss the whole thing or go to the Reading Beer Festival, again, missing the whole thing, but with large amounts of real ale being drunk.
