I'd love to see Emma Watson as the next doctor. Doctor regenerates, stands up, is Emma Watson. Looks down at chest, sees breasts, then looks at the camera and says, "Oh, bloody hell!"

While I think she would be a very popular choice, as lots of people fancy her, fortunately I doubt she would sign up for the grind of a regular TV show schedule, its hard work compared to doing a couple of films a year for fun as she does now.

See I think picking a female Doctor "because we fancy her" would be a terrible idea, the ability to play the Doctor must come first, or we'll end up with a "She only got the job 'cos she's hot comments." Tennant and Smith may have a lot of fangirls, but neither of them was chosen for that reason, they were both a good fit for playing the Doctor.

Also, as much as I like Watson, I don't think she has quite the acting chops yet to take on such a large, iconic role as the Doctor, and is perhaps too young now. If anything, she'd be more suited to a Companion role.
