Let's spot when Pine's stunt double takes over for the fight scenes!
That's why Pine will never equal Shatner's genius. Bill Shatner needs no stunt double.
I'm reminded of the Family Guy scene where Meg's admirer does the play-by-play of Kirk's fight scene. "There's Shatner, now his stunt double, now Kirk, then his double..." etc., etc.

Maybe it would be better to ask if Chris Pine will ever equal Paul Baxley's martial arts prowess.
We should be careful not to get our hopes up too high for the karate chopping - drop kicking Kirk we all remember, it may be too early for him to be that grown up.
Remember, this is young, cocky, spoiled Kirk who may get his butt physically kicked a few times. We probably will see those classic Kirk moves here, they just won't be as refined as we remember them. I would expect to see the more seasoned fighting Kirk fully in the next one.

I hope not. I liked the original Kirk and Big Shat's portrayal, but all that bouncing off people and walls was a bit ridiculous. I'm laughing right now just thinking about it.
