oh dear, there's an Aggie in the house, God Help Me, I cant get away from em! lol
in all seriousness tho, I understand the feeling of helplessness, its how Ive felt every day for the past week. we had a person come in the store, if i havnt said it already i work at a Feed Mill/Store, who lost their house to the advancing fire, and then just a few minutes later, while he was still in the store, his neighbor came in and that the tanker choppers had saved his house. It was a heartbreaking contrast......
anyway, like I said, I work at a Feed Mill/Store, and the area im in is a very Ag heavy area. anyway so many people, especially from the early stages of this fire, have had cattle and Horses get burnt up. Now people have resorted to just letting them go, and worrying about the rest later, especially cattle, as alot of people might have 200 head of cattle and can only moved about 20 at a time.
Pile that on top of this years drought, which killed the local corn and hay crop, and the reports that this drought could last well into Spring...... The outlook in our area over the next 10-12 Months is bleak to say the least
