Wil Wheaton

I read his autobiography and I related to a lot of it.

I agree that if the writers had actually made Wesley the uncomfortable teenager that many of us, I am sure, were at that time, it would have been easier for us to relate to him.

I admire his tenacity and his honesty. It would be easy for a "child actor" to blast themselves into oblivious self-pity with drugs, but, Wil has done all of the right things: married, writing, acting, working hard and trying trying trying. THAT is admirable.

Wil has a tremendous writing voice. I've read his TNG reviews book Memories of the Future (loved it--laughed out loud many times) and Just a Geek (also terrific).

While I never loved him on TNG, he was not nearly as bad as many make him out to be. Plus, the writer's never ever threw him a bone. It isn't Wil's fault he had to say and do the things he did on TNG.
