WI Wesley killed during the 3rd season of TNG?

Those scenes probably weren't filmed. Wesley was supposed to get electrocuted and Data's head blown clean off.

Really? I thought I heard somewhere on this site that Wesley was the one that was supposed to be decapitated.

Oops, that's right. Wesley's head blown off, Data electrocuted.

Either way, ouch.

if joss whedon wrote tng it would've got cancelled. god he's overrated.

I never understood the level of hatred towards the character of W. Crusher.

I agree. Although I think the character doesn't do a lot as far as progressing the show or being a catalyst for the storylines, I enjoy his character. He is 10x more likable than any teen character on tv or movies today, and his reactions are believable for a teen.

I always have arguments with ppl over this.

If Wesley was written as a "typical" teen I would hate him. He also didn't save the ship nearly as often as people seem to think he did, and he usually didn't do it without any help. I'm indifferent to him during the time he was a regular and I actually like him beginning with Final Mission.
