Why won't Spock shave and put on a starfleet uniform?

Hasn't he had enough recover time from his crazy state to basically to finally shave and go back on active duty? It's just something I have noticed in the last episode. He is still wearing civilian clothes for some reason and I don't know why he has the beard anymore.

Yeah. I actually think that he didn't realize he even still had a beard (he was a near-catatonic mumbling fool for awhile) until Michael told him. And now it's at the point where it's too much work to shave it off.

Keep it trim, though. He shouldn't laze about like Tyler and then end up with an itchy, annoying mess. No wonder Tyler's girlfriend doesn't want to see him anymore.
