Why The Devil Due

Because!

But seriously folks:

It's called the Devil's Due because Ardra is supposedly the Devil and has come to collect on what the people of the planet owe her...

The meaning is double-fold:

The Devil is Due - meaning the Devil is expected

or

The Devil's Due, what the Devil is owed [due]

I rather enjoyed this episode, stands up to repeat viewing as far as I'm concerned, a pretty solid Season 4 episode and one of the few Phase II rewrites that I think actually worked with the TNG crew!

One of the few Phase II rewrites that you think actually worked with the TNG crew? Which other Phase II rewrites constitute the rest of the few that worked?

Angel One was based on a Phase II...I thought there was at least one more, but I can't think right now! To Google!
