Why didn't we see the Defiant's nosecone eject ion all te hbattkes in season 6 and 7. It was like star wars on tv those 2 years. It could have been done !

I think he means, why didn't the front bit separate and act as some form of fighter craft?

Ah. I didn't think that was a feature of the Defiant class ships. As far as I know, there are no weapons in that part of the ship. The main airlock and navigational deflector are in the forward section, so I don't see how that could detach from the main part of the ship.

Worst. Grammar. Ever.

I think someone has had a few drinks this evening... ;)

Actually...that's as good as he gets.

Anywho, the only mention of the nose-cone ejection was in the DS9 manual, so it wasn't canon.

We had a discussion about this a few months ago. I was going to point Mr. DumbDumb to the previous thread, but I think he's seen it before. ;)

The summary:
A.) The ability isn't canonical. In fact, the writer's probably didn't know about any such ability.
B.) The ship never was in a position where a large slow moving missile would have helped.
C.) The nose contained vital ship systems-- namely the deflector.
D.) It was used once in "Avatar, book 1".

DumbDumb...AdmiralGarak makes a good point. Why are you asking the exact same question you asked before in another thread you started?

Do you expect a different answer or what?

Anyway, thread closed as it is a duplicate of the thread you already started on this topic.
