By no means do I "hate" the Janeway character. I thought the character development to be effective over time, and I did enjoy her interactions with both Seven-of-Boobs and The Borg Queen.

However, I didn't think she should have been promoted to Admiral ahead of Picard.

Maybe he declined a promotion. We don't know everything that goes on between scenes/movies.

Janeway is Boss,voted most courageous and most decisive captain on the official star trek website. in addition she's the first Women to actually have a major/massive role in the dam trek universe. all you haters stay away you are just jealous because she can kick your butt with her hands on her hips. ^_^

I was watching the Today show yesterday as they reviewed Lindsay Lohan's SNL hosting gig. Matt grimaced at how savage some online bloggers were of her performance and Anne laughed. "They have their own name... they are called 'the Haters'."



Oh well... if they are picking on Janeway, then maybe that means they are leaving someone else alone.

Ask the 10's of thousands of black voters struck off voter registration for criminal records they didn't have.

Which even if true, Gore and the Democrats were so concerned about it they insisted on recounting the votes in only four counties. Four traditionally heavily democratic voting counties. In demanding that "every vote be counted", Gore literally told the rest of the state to frak off.

This has always been my assumption. Seems in character for Picard, and accepting the admiralty seems in character for Janeway.

We saw him decline commandant (Which we assume is congruous to the rank of Admiral?) after those beasties infested Starfleet, and we saw him refuse to go back and teach when he was turned into an 11 year old, and that was before kirk told him never to give up his star ship
