My god what a comparison. But in reference to the 2000 election, you couldn't be more wrong. You should read the book "At Any Cost" by Bill Sammon.

You do understand the subtext in the my first post?

What is happening to the tag cloud is because of the ten women here, keeping that "How is Janeway Sexy" thread afloat.

Their mania is artificially inflating the statistics... Not that there's anything wrong with that, and I was asking the question in the header in the same way that a dog owner asks/tells her doggy "Who has gone whoopsies on the living room rug!?"

Interestingly, I pressed "Janeway" on the tag cloud and this thread was top of the list. The "How is Janeway sexy?" thread was second.

Click your name, then "group membership" which on the right hand side of your profile page. There is an opt in thingie for TNZ. Used to require a certain amount of posts but now it just requires being able to find it

Thanks for that. Mine just says "You are not a member of any groups" without any means to opt in. Maybe it does still require a high post count and the option will pop up later. Ah, well.

I'm more curious about why Star Wars ranks so high in the tag cloud. I get that it has a following, but I thought the prequels pretty much killed the franchise.

I must be not seeing something then..hopefully someone else will answer for you because last time I looked into it you did not need any amount of posts. It was also always a very small amount when you did.

You aren't missing much though, LOL.

As far as I know SW is very much alive and well. Clone Wars provides fresh stuff to talk about too as well as the Blu Rays, the 3D..

Got in, thanks again! But yeah, you were right, I don't think I was missing all that much. Still, it's nice to be able to get to it.

Mostly, my knowledge of the prequels comes from Red Letter Media, so it's pretty skewed. If there's anyone out there who hasn't checked them out yet, they do movie commentaries a la sfdebris and RiffTrax, but funnier IMO. http://redlettermedia.com/plinkett/

I have come to a decision.

The tag cloud and Janeway's supremacy therein, is not related to the megabehemouth that is the sexy janeway thread part 1.

That thread isn't even listed in the 3 pages of active threads tagged with the janeway monicker.

I suspect its just the number of threads tagged with Janeway... since she's got 58 (2 + pages) of threads, and Dr Who has less than a page tagged with him, and enterprise less than 2 full pages. (Both "look" smaller on the tag cloud)

Hey Teacake... is that the southern hemisphere that's gonna rise again????

Janeway is Boss,voted most courageous and most decisive captain on the official star trek website. in addition she's the first Women to actually have a major/massive role in the dam trek universe. all you haters stay away you are just jealous because she can kick your butt with her hands on her hips. ^_^
