What's most amusing is that the author of the piece, Ellen Ladowsky, has obviously never actually WATCHED the show.

WTF?? Skin-tight uniforms? Not on Kirk's Enterprise. Those didn't come along until TNG.

Simply wrong, of course.
“In an episode called Cat’s Paw (sic), there is an evil sorceress who separates the crew from each other and from the starship. After one of his loves has croaked, Kirk admonishes Spock, ‘Love, you're better off without it.’ ”
The “wand” line (which, needless to say, McCoy never said) was apparently meant as a joke, but it reads like a direct quote. And the line from “The Naked Time” is spoken by Kirk “after one of his loves has croaked”? Again, WTF??
The only part of the article that really makes sense is the quote from one Dr. Peter Mezan: “There is an impulse that is common to perversion and to utopian thinking. The wish is to create a world in which differences make no difference.”
How very true.
But I suppose that's a topic for the Miscellaneous board. Or TNZ.
