I agree, loving ST is never going to get you laid. My gf used to hate ST, but after several hours of emotional blackmail, she relented and watched a few episodes of Voyager. Now, she knows at least 3 of the character's names, that a normal man with pointy ears is a vulcan, and that they can meld minds.

It's all about espousing everybody should be "human", physical or otherwise, and that there is only one "right" paradigm.

Then we've been watching different shows.

It may have to do with that National Lampoon movie about the kids on the school bus going to Washington D.C. They were followed by a deeply disturbed Trekker who had an inflatable Uhura doll that he vowed to avenge after she deflated!
