Why does Daystrom have Kirk's body?

Kirks Body and Spock's Brain. What a cycle. But yea their chemistry is killer so very neat concept.

I don't think anyone would mind if we did find bones on Mars he's a good doctor.

But yes we find bones what's the problem?
The reason why Bones would be on Mars, is that on his part is the sane reaction to Star Trek et el.

Don't worry he is onboard an Independence class Armed Freighter, just in case...

Sorry it was a mass effect joke, about finding bones on Mars, which leads to prothean artifacts and the Admonition I mean visions, that thing Picard stole haha

I remember reading that Terry Matalas was disappointed with Kirk's death, so he brought his character back in Star Trek: Picard season 3 through Project Phoenix. This was a strategic move, in case anyone wanted to revive Kirk within the main storyline.

In the realm of canon, Daystrom might have envisioned a similar approach—reviving myths to inspire the Federation or untangling enigmas that defy explanation across the cosmos. Imagine the potential to resurrect heroes and experienced officers with indomitable character and reintegrate them into service.

Usually, they die in space, leaving no bodies to retrieve. But here is the chance to develop the technology and bring back a true legend of the Federation.

I thought it was because Shatner was in talks to make a return to a future project
