Why didn't the Voyager intro change like other Trek intros?

Has anyone ever done a deep dive on the Voyager intro as to where in the Delta Quadrent each section took place. I would have loved to see the solar flare in the actual series.

As for why they didn't change it, there was no need. It was already perfect.

Generally I agree with what others have said.

Though, having the opening credits change over time to indicate that the ship was entering new portions of the DQ might have had potential.

Or, in this day and age opening with a graphic showing where VOY was along its journey, then going to the normal ship shots.

It was the best intro of all of them.

1. Voyager (gorgeous and emotionally affecting)
2. Lower Decks (funny)
3. Enterprise (mirror universe)
4. DS9 (orchestral)
5. TNG (Picard's narration)
6. Discovery (meh)
7. Original Series (warbles a lot)
8. Picard (...)
9. Enterprise (please... make it stop)

They did that before establishing contact with the Alpha Quadrant. As for the uniforms, the producers wanted to keep the cast in the older uniforms to reinforce the whole far from home thing. It was more of an artistic than logical decision.

That's how I've heard it. And I figured that they'd use the excuse of it taking up too much replicator energy rations for what was effectively only a cosmetic change.

The more annoying part was them using uniforms that were meant to be for starbase personnel and not officers serving on starships.

Speaking of the modified TNG intro, something that bothers me a lot every time I see it is that when it switches from the new portion to the old one the stars inside the rings of the definitely-not-Saturn planet move differently from those outside.

For some reason they went trough all the trouble of replacing Saturn with the new planet and left in that detail that so obviously gives away what they did...and never fixed it in the following four years (or in TNG-R).

Do we know for certain all of the scenes seen in the intro are from actual DQ places visited in the series? Isn't it possible some of these shots were just made for the intro? For example, I can't recall an instance of Voyager diving under a solar flare loop / bridge (whatever the correct term would be for that), but perhaps it did, once.

I'm quite positive that all the scenes of the intro were made specifically for the intro. It's not impossibile some of them showed up in some episodes but I don't think so.

I don't recall seeing any of the footage from the credits appear in episodes beyond the standard flyby stuff.
