Why didn't DS9 capture a large audience like all the other Treks?

If you ask any hard core trekker/trekkie, "Which is your favorite Trek show?" 90% will say DS9. 9 out of 10. Next time you are at a convention, a con, or somewhere like that, ask that question. The repsonse, DS9 DS9 DS9 DS9, guaranteed.

I doubt that. This board skews towards DS9 more than most Trek boards, but even here DS9 only gets around 40% when put to a poll.

what other trek boards are there? this must be easily be the biggest online

I totally disagree with that, most Star Trek fans or even Sci-Fi fans would put either TOS or TNG as the top trek shows I have also seen Top 20 Sci-Fi reviews and Voyager sometimes comes on top of DS9 (I simply do not know why lol)

But anyways for most trekkies its defo a tie between TOS or TNG and there might be a connection to which generation you come from (me its TNG) for old school trekkies then its TOS as best of all.
