Why Did Shatner Not Show Up At the LA Premiere?

Everyone seemed to be at the LA premiere except Shatner. Is he scared of crowds? Did he hate the fact that he wasn´t in the movie? Is he working? Or is he just greedy?

That's good. Another point of view that I'd like to express is why the fuck would he show up?

It's a movie that he isn't even in. Did Crispin Glover show up at Back to the Future 2 and 3 premiere? Probably not. Because a) he wanted a dump truck full of money and b) he's a little crazy. They recast George McFly after the first one and wrote him out.
