Thank goodness Data didn't keep that; he looked ridiculous with it.

It looked like it was put together by the same people that make Trump's hair. But an android with a beard would be pretty awesome.

"Ensign Babyface" was the nickname he had aboard the Pegasus.

Riker went from the Pegasus (bein' one of a handful of survivors would have cut down on nicknames), to the Potemkin (where he became a hero), to the Hood (where he became a first officer for the first time) and then the Enterprise (still beardless).

So, it took awhile for him to grow the beard, so it obviously wasn't because of the nickname he had aboard the Pegasus.

i don't really think it's as noticeable on James with the leaner face 'n' all.

He could've played a young Picard.
