Over 500 sextillion served!I guess people in the 24th practice some kind of Vulcan mind meld, so they can control themselves better. This way they won't run to the nearest McDonald's, if they are still around.
It was the Franchise Wars, actually. There's no junk food in the 24th-Century. After Taco Bell won the Fast Food Wars* a few centuries earlier, it was pretty much all over...
That only started with Trek TNG (aka Trek PC).Hmmm.... It is also true in the Trek Universe that people in the future seem to lose all sense of humor.

If you've seen as many fan films as I, you wouldn't say that. You just don't see that many obese people in Starfleet
Salt is not good for you, hence it is illegal.

Why are there no overweight or obese people in Star Trek?
For the same reason why there are no/very, very few gays.

So, there's an alternate relaity where all the guys are leather-wearing fatasses?
People eating too much and not getting enough exercise is why there are so many fat people today. Take some personal responsibility and stop blaming every social ill on the big evil corporations.. . . Our society removed the ancient ways of managing food from our culture, causing a gradual loss of knowledge. And then, the insipid commercial food industry stepped in to make food very affordable, seductively addictive (loaded with sugar and salt), and at a low overhead cost, all at the cost of it being nutritionless. This combination has caused so many fat people in our society today. Those enormous conglomerate food businesses have gotten filthy rich at the expense of the public health.
