It has been interesting to follow the extremes this thread has taken and much very irrelevant to my initial inquiry. I often wonder when people post if they ever take the time to think about how others may perceive what they have written
Well...considering...everything, it looks like the answer is "no". I try my best, but it seems like there's always someone who takes my comments and... well, y'know. But then, it could be worse.
Take a look at The Neutral Zone, and behold all the battles I have to fight. The "petty bickering" over here is NOTHING compared to what goes on over there....
I often wonder...if they really want to come across in the manner they have?
I doubt it. Sarcasm doesn't seem to translate well on the Internet. Many times, post which I took personally, looking back, were probably just poorly-made jokes. *sigh*
Still, my main concern was why certain people seem to think it is necessary to demean and speak down to other members? There is no need to treat other persons with disrespect and bad manners. Unfortunately it seems that it's a few outspoken ones who take on these characteristics and thus they tend to command a more dominant presence with few if any ever challenging their behavior, myself included.
I know what you mean. Ktrek...we need more folks like you. Desperately.
(does "plexing") Y'know, a little conflict is good for the soul...but all this is starting to drive me insane....
Okay, you know what:

There. That's better.
