Whose dumb idea was it to go to facebook?

Ok, so when TBBS suffered a breakdown we all were forlorn and lost but us in the know, the choosen ones if you will, went to Zion's place and were happy and content. :)

Then someone came up with the facebook thing, well curse you *shakes fist*. I'd avoided that hotbed of depravity and evilness and now I am a used up Mobster in Mafia Wars, and my farm has 3 milkless cows and withering strawberries. Whilst others (you know who you are:evil:), have thriving farms and families. :p

It's just not fair!!! *Stomps feet and sulks* I'm not playing anymore :angryrazz:

Please tell me others are useless mobsters, farmers, rubbish at other on-line games or am I totally crap?

You know you can plow up more fields and plant more stuff. You shouldn't be totally out of money at this point in the game unless you spent it all on a vorpal bunny.
 
I have no intention of ever doing so. I have found that people who have been on facebook longer tend to get less into all the extra applications. None of that was around a few years ago, and I would have preferred it stayed that way.

What scares me is that to get more cash, points, etc. to play these games by buying them with paypal or credit card! I mean :wtf:
Are there really people out there spending money on virtual chickens. (anyone who can hear me excepted) ;)
 
yeah . . . the only non default 'apps' I use are the movie quiz thing and maybe one or two others
I've blocked so many of them :D

I was doing well with Facebook. Honestly, I barely used it beyond the occasional attempt to find childhood friends. But then one of my friends begged me to join Mafia Wars because he needed a bigger mafia. Now I'm addicted, and I can't understand why. There is absolutely nothing to the game, but I am on it every morning before I go to work and every evening before I go to bed. I'm closing in on finishing New York, and then I'll start in on Cuba. I'm sure that just as I'm about to complete Cuba, they'll create a new section of the game to keep me ensnared.
 
i block all that crap. I use to to check in on friends and whatnot, but plenty of better places to play games, and everyone else keeps sending the "What X are you?" quizes, so i just keep blocking shit...
 
I do NOT care for the applications at all. When I first signed up using my actual name, I found those games very annoying.

I KNOW exactly what you mean. An hour ago I was going to give up. Then I went back on ~ won a couple of fights, bought some awesome gear and am back in the running.
So 'wanna be part of my family'?

I'm not a useless mobster, I'm a consigliere to, well, not really to anyone since the game doesn't exactly make sense as far as mob structure goes. That game is like crack, I'm trying to ween myself off it, but I also want to reach a certain point, except in Cuba, I stopped giving a crap about that and now my merchandise rots on the docks (well, I assume the coke doesn't rot, but that's not the point).

I do plan to get rid of the application soon. Even though it doesn't use up too much of my time, I have started to form my routine around it.
 
People I barely know but are on my friends list for the sake of it keep inviting me to play those stupid games all the time and I've still resisted. I play Bejeweled 24/7 though, my high score is 200k.
 
I have a beautiful farm and $1.2M in farmtown coins.

Now, I just don't know what to do with it.


and, no, I didn't buy any of it from paypal. That's just a bit beyond my level of addiction.
