Whose dumb idea was it to go to facebook?

I've started to slowly back away from Facebook because of all the applications. I wish there was a way block all applications and comments for applications I do have like "With your help, your friend attacked a mafia army" or something. I don't know, I didn't do a damn thing thank you very much.

I remember getting invites for it over 12 months ago from an old high school friend, and rejected it. And rejected the latest invites for Mafia Wars. Yet to get any invites for Farmville. Kinder lost interest in some of the games on facebook lately.

I immediately ignore any invites from friends to join them in Mafia Wars or Yoville, or other such applications/games. None of that for me, thanks.

Heck, I don't really use Facebook for very much anymore. I guess social networking sites aren't all that useful when you're a recluse like me. ;)

I have farmville too. but I never have time for it.

as for mafia wars ... Monday, Snow. Monday. K'helar, what are you doing Monday?

Girl...I told you. I have to clean my apartment.

Don't we already have our own families on MF?
You seem to be a member of mine. Like neighbours on FT.

And I agree with whoever said Fuck Farmville.

^^^ To all the above... My name is K'eh and I'm a facebookgameaholic :(
5am this morning trying to harvest my wheat and put a hit out on someone. Even my cat (real life one) was looking at me with pity:rolleyes:
I wish I'd never accepted my first invite ~ get out whilst you still can...

... lurks off to mafia wars :shifty:

It can't possibly take you all day to clean your apartment. And, I have physical therapy in the afternoon. But, I'm also off Tuesday and Wednesay - bonus for those days because they're the first two days that the 5 year old is school - no babysitting!

I'm thinking two days won't be enough. Seriously.
Old arthritic people don't move fast like you young'uns. :)

I am so woefully ignorant of all of this.

I signed up for facebook years ago, but never set up a page, never went there, never did a thing. I don't even have an idea how to do anything there, nor am I that interested, lest I find it to be yet another way to waste my time.

I'm currently "wasting" my time watching all of Babylon 5 (it's taking a while, I'm only up to the middle of season 2). But I don't have either "The Gathering" or "In the Beginning," though I know I've seen them in the past.

Monday ~ I'll be mostly making custard?
Is that what they're calling it these days?

Titter ye not! It is what us 'ghansters' call 'making a mess of one's enemies head with a Timothy gun' ~ or is that Tommy's gun, to be truthfull it can be frightfully confusing and I really can't tell the difference  But some nice chaps have already sent me a Dali and a Rembrant...

Come on Zee I've invited you ~ you can be my wheelman
You should join us in the Kingdom of Loathing - no Facebook shenanigans there. Plus we have a clan too! :bolian:

Facebook just makes me feel a bit sad and a bit of an underachiever. It just seems to be full of ex friends and partners showing off how much they've got their lives together. Makes me feel like such a fake adult. Bitter and twisted singleton, me?? Of course ;)

My man is a complete Baby freak. Claims it's the best! He's up to series 5 so I guess I'll have to catch the re-watch :)

I'll join yours if you join mine ;)

...
Don't mess with my mafia, though. ;)
Hey we could always join up ~ I have some pretty useful guys

I lie

Yeah....I just don't play them. It's a social network, not an X-box!

But you can play and be on here at the same time :techman:

My Mom and I joke with the phrase "playing Scrabble."

My grandmother (a total bitch whom I would gladly volunteer for a death panel, if they existed) yelled--out loud at my parents while she was in a hospital--"You play Scrabble all day and have sex all night--that's why you can't visit me!"

This was heard out the room and down the hall. It pretty much convinced the hospital staff that my Mom was a saint to put up with this from her own mother.

Oh...and my parents were in their 70s at the time. I don't think they could play scrabble all day (either version).

LOL Good story.

:guffaw: Personally I don't think that's such a bad way to live! Especially at that age, keeping mind and body active ~ very admirable ;)

 How big is your apartment?

My problem isn't that I move slow. My problem is there is an infinate number of other things I'd rather be doing that cleaning house. ... I get distracted rather easily.

My 8 year old likes to do the farm games so it's all good.

My cousin's wife and mother-in-law play on farm town and yoville (now that I think on it, that might be how I got started), so I was only mildly surprised to see my cousin join both games. And, seeing as how the apartment was never really updated and the only thing on the farm were trees ..., I figured he was just kinda pressured into starting the game for his wife.

Then I found out his 7 year old daughter plays his yoville game and 9 year old son plays the farm town game.

Now it all makes sense.
