Who's the Shooter?

He did say Kate wasnt his type when she had to change into a dress, so it shouldnt have come as a shock.

Maybe the camoflague was so good they couldn't actually see the people on the film, so they cut them because they couldn't reshoot with the strike.

It wouldn't have made much sense for them to show the mercs on the boat target practicing for no good reason if it WASN'T them that did the shooting later on. Seems a pretty obvious connection...

Misdirection, maybe. We'll see.

Joe, who'll either crow or eat crow

Remember in Lethal Weapon where Riggs and Murtaugh jump at the sound of a nail gun, mistaking it for an actual gunshot? And later on when Riggs is fighting one of the bad guys and uses the nail gun on him? Would it have been better for you if that nail gun had no set up and came out of the blue?

That would be foreshadowing.

Joe, misdirecting

I think it must have been a Dwarven Rifleman.

The little guy takes credit for it every time I click on him....

Ok, I've got it. I theorize that the shooters on the island are in fact

Predators.

Yes Predators. Somehow a Predator ship wound up on the island many many years ago, and there are still some Predators around.

Well I like to use something called common sense, but that's just me. What's your reasoning for why you believe beyond a shadow of a doubt that the shooters are part of Ben's omnipotent crew?

This promo gives away who shot Karl and Danielle and captured Alex.

Yeah, I was pretty disapointed when they gave that away. Either the writers never considered that the shooters might be a mystery or the promo is really misleading or they just plain weren't thinking when they made that promo.

Don't view that promo if you don't want to find out.

Considering the very spoilery nature of promos these days (not just LOST, but other shows like Battlestar Galactica), I'm guessing the people who made the promo flat out didn't care.

Unfortunate because I wanted Danielle to live. :(

What about that promo makes you think she didnt't? Did I miss something or are you assuming that she is based on who the shooters are?
