Who's planning on seeing this movie multiple times in theatres?

The only movies I can remember seeing more than once (but not more than twice) in the theater are Star Trek 8, Titanic, and a few Disney movies. The new film would have to be pretty spectacular to make me go more than once. Most likely I'm going to wait 'til it's out on DVD before I watch it again.

I saw STIV and STVI 2 times in the theater. That's the most I ever saw a ST movie or any movie for that matter.

I'll be seeing it more than once. I'm going to opening day, and then the following week I'm going to San Francisco, so my uber-Trek fan friend has insisted we see the movie there as well. If the movie sucks, then the second time I'll just concentrate on the prettiness that is Chris Pine and Zachary Quinto.

I'm not planning anything right now. And I generally don't view movies multiple times in the theater.

But who knows. If it's as good as I hope it is, maybe I'll see it twice. But no more than that.
Then I'll wait for the Blu Ray

I am definitely going to do IMAX and 'regular' - so I'm in for at least two theater visits.

I will see the movie once for sure. I will see it a second time if the movie really blows me away.

Within a matter of months, it will be released onto DVD anyway. I'll wait and buy the movie before seeing it again. If the movie is worth multiple viewings, I can watch it as many times as I want in the comfort of my home then.

I may see it in IMAX. It would be the first movie that I bothered to travel the 35 miles or so to see it. Its almost sure I'll see it twice!

i might if i really liked it.
the last time i saw a movie multiple times was dark knight because i wanted to go back and see it in imax.

i think trek four was the last trek i saw multiple times in the theatre.

At least twice, first time in IMAX and second in a regular theater. Probably multiple times after that, with various groups of people. I'm the "resident Trekkie" that friends and family insist come so they can justify it to themselves. ;)

I missed out on The Final Frontier at the cinema. Most likely in favour of Batman and Indiana Jones & The Last Crusade. When The Undiscovered Country came out, I saw that 3 times simply because it was a fun romp. Once with friends, once alone and then bringing along a family member. Generations was a one time viewing. First Contact three times and Insurrection twice. Nemesis three times. But I guess I was desperately looking for something that wasn't there with that. Also in my defence, I had not long gone through a breavement in the weeks immediately before that came out and I may have gone to give others the impression I was on the road to recovery. I obviously didn't take it in as well as I would normally have.

I don't know with Star Trek 2009. They'll probably be lucky to get me to go once. I'm still unhappy with the decision to axe Enterprise some 4 years on, just as it hooked me. I still find that decision hard to forgive.

Well lets see, eh yes would be the answer.

I have seen even Trek's very worst usually 3 times opening weekend (Yes I am looking at you final frontier and Nemesis), and the ones I love First COntact Khan at least 10 times each at the movies.

If I love a film I tend to watch it multiple times (same reason I would by the DVD and watch it multiple times) or see each episode of trek multitudes of times.

So I would say at least three times, tops being probably 20.

I so get that.

I will see it one time in the cinema. I'll buy the Blu-Ray when it comes out so I can watch it in glorious HD in the comfort of my own home as many times as I want. :techman:

There are usually 2 or 3 releases I catch more than once throughout the year. I saw Iron Man and TDK a couple times last year. I'll be seeing Watchmen again at some point this month and I'm guessing Trek will get the same treatment.

I'm pretty sure I'll see it twice. From a visual perspective it'll be worth a second look.
In a related topic...I'll definitely buy the DVD too.

Twice. Once with the wife and once with friends. I would love to go see it at an IMAX, but the closest IMAX to me is one that shows only educational films so I would have to drive an hour and a half up to Knoxville to see it, which sadly won't be happening no matter how great the movie.
