Who's bright effing idea...

I love the keyboard that came with my HP:

Although, if you want an awesome keyboard that will never fail, you want an IBM EnduraPro, and they don't make them like they used to. Well, they do, but they're about 5x as much now.

The keyboard/gamepad combo on my to-get list:

^I have that keyboard. Three notes:

1. No volume control on the keyboard.
2. Flimsy legs broke off.
3. only one usb port.
I never use keyboard volume controls.

I don't tend to move/adjust my keyboard much, so the leg issue shouldn't be a problem. If they do snap, though, I can always rig something.

I've never wanted or needed a USB ports on my keyboard, so all's well. :techman:

Apple keyboards have had a power-on key since the 80s, but only in the last 10 years or so has that key also been able to shut the thing off. It brings up the "Are you sure" box though, so you'd have to hit return after the power key to accidentally turn the machine off.

The power button was replaced by the eject button almost ten years ago (though, while checking it, I found it still acts as the power key if you hit "Control-Eject"), as part of the same pro-sleep, anti-shutdown movement that started putting the power button on the back various of the iMac models since then.
