I missed the last fifteen minutes or so (I'll catch up later on), but from what I saw there didn't seem to be a lot of new info. They gave us the history of the theory including a little General Relativity, then went on to Supermassive Black Holes and the like. Which has all been done before by Horizon on the BBC.

So was there any new info that I missed?

I thought it was very lacking in substantive content -- nothing about BH entropy, the information paradox, the holographic principle and so on. Horizon is dumbed down just like pretty much everything else on TV these days.
