When I watched the newest Star Trek film I thought they had picked suitable actors to play TOS characters. It got me thinking who would be good to play the Voyager characters?

That being said, I think Scarlett Johansson would make a great young Janeway.

There are many actresses I'd like to play her, but they don't bare any similar looks to Kate Mulgrew at all... mind you, there are wigs and contact lenses available!

I was thinking Clare Skinner from that wierd 'comedy' show 'Outnumbered'. But, she's a bit too old to play a 'young' Janeway. Having said that I didn't think Scarlett Johansson was right for the part, she is young. Most of the actresses in my mind are old(er).

Hayden Panettiere. I see some similarities in facial structure and features.
I know some people really dislike her, but I think she can do funny, irritated, exhausted and determined quite well, so she's got all you need to do Janeway! (just kidding! just kidding!)
But I still think she could be good as a young Janeway.

I doubt Allyson is a redhead under her million and one trips to the salon. I was actually amazed the first time I heard Oz say Willow was a redhead, I considered that the colour settings on my telly must be right off.

I think Janeway's voice is important and Scarlett does have a husky quality to her voice. I was thinking Eliza Dushku because she also has a husky voice and I think she could do Janeway's attitude.
Wow. Something Scarlett Johansen might be good for. I have to agree, she could possibly be awesome as Janeway if she would drop the muted quality.
I also like the idea of Abby Brammel who was in the Augments trilogy in ENT's fourth season. This is kind of sexing Janeway up a bit but that's what you get with a reboot.
