Who would you be?

Either:
Betazoid - For the openness of their society and the telepathy
Ocampa - The short lifespan is a drag but the amazing mental abilities would be worth it

I was going to choose that. If you master your mental abilities, you'd get to live longer, though if you don't, you might melt someones face.

Yeah... probably Q. Assuming that's an acceptable answer, why wouldn't you?

I might get bored in a million years or so.
As many life forms as there are in their universe, to study or live as, and experience their histories, I think I could manage that long. Hell, I might even try to make my own life bearing world, and eventually try to get an intelligent life form on it, and watch it evolve

I don't think our perception of the passage of a million years exactly conforms with what theirs would be.....

Kelvan.:borg:
They have a unique sense of control, until the fourth act.
Speaking of my love life...

OT: I have wanted to be a TOS Vulcan since my first episode of Star Trek (ca. 1973). Mr. Spock was the first character with whom I ever identified. :vulcan:

Superior intelligence
Telepathic
Superior strength
Control and mastery of my emotions
250 year lifespan

I'll also go with Vulcan.

Yeah, i would go with human too... Other than that, perhaps Trill or even a changeling (looks at my username )

Now, one thing that i have always wandered is how would be to be a cardassian... FOR CARDASSIA!

An Abandoned Salamander. So much promise and so far to go to find my forebears. The bastards.

Betazoid sounds nice in the beginning, but they have those rules about not reading people's minds without their permission (not that Lwaxana cared about that) and sometimes I really don't want to know what people think anyway LOL

For me it is Trill, always. A joined trill even, because I just would love to have this perspective, to see a bigger picture with the accumulated lifetime, to have the feeling of being part of something greater than oneself and knowing that what you do will be carried on into another lifetime after.

Vulcan or Q. Either one would be good imo. Vulcans would be good at maintaining their emotions and Q's are good at being omnipotent.

I would absolutely be a Q because it's like using one wish to wish for a million more wishes. If you're Q, you can choose to be anything you want to be whenever you like.

Also, I feel that the idea of a bored or unhappy or suicidal Q is kind of uninspired because I would simply manipulate myself into being happy whenever I needed.

(old lady voice) That's nasty...

Andorian, because the looks is a great combination of camp and cool. Or a Caitian because it would be cool to look like a panther.

They do?

I mean, I suspected that they would, since it's just common decency (and you'll notice that, in "The Drumhead," a Betazoid interrogator does not simply read the defendant Simon Tarses' mind. So Betazoid abilities must therefore be inadmissible in court as well) but is there any official source like a TNG episode which says that they do?
