Who were Dominion's labourers , engineers ?

Who or what were working for constructing Dominion war machine ? Building mass of ships , stations , weapons ? Wgho was doing all that labour ? Did they have another race commited to working besides Founders , Vorta and Jem Hadar ?

i would say any other races that they had conquered.. the Vorta and Jem'Hadar were merely the over see-ers.. im sure there was many other races that worked for the Dominion as soldiers and others..

I'm sure a fair bulk of that work would be automated by that time in the future. You'd only really need a Vorta to oversee that the machines are doing what they are meant to do...plus Jem'hadar to guard the facility.

Races that were part of the Dominion would be expected to extract resources and supply a quota to the Dominion but I don't know how trusting the Dominion would be to let conquered races build their machines of war.

I forget what they're called but there's those people in the Dominion in the Gamma Quadrant that sells defective weapons to the Jen'Hadar.

The Karemma.

The Producers of DS9 said that the Dominion iscomposed of several other races other than the Jem'Hadar, Vorta and Founders but they couldn't always show them due to budgetary concerns and the studio thought it may have been confusing to viewers who didn't see every episode.

For example, the Hunters from Season One are members of the Dominion, they are thei Trackers and their ship Navigators. The Jem'Hadar that pilots the Defiant to the Dominion Capital-World in "Broken Link" was supposed to be a Hunter originally.

Also, the Tosk are also Dominion members, or at least are Dominion creations. Tosk's cloak is the same as the Jem'Hadar shroud and they do look similar.

Would these other races not be on the Dominion ships, especially the warships, for the overall operation and maintenance of them. It can't just be Jem'hadar doing all the flying, shooting and repairing that must go on in these ships.

To add could this other race be held accountable for there actions as an innocent pawn in the Dominions actions or would Starfleet know that they could be killing thousands of innoncent people with every Dominion ship they destroy?

Why not? Jem'hadar arent stupid, and it'd be much easier to maintain popular support for the Dominion if member worlds recieved protection without ever having to sacrifice the lives of their own people in battle.

I figure the other races contribute resources and technology, but the Vorta and Jem'hadar run the day-to-day operations of the empire.

It could be that there are different breeds of Jem'Hadar there, too. In USMC style, every one would theoretically be a "warrior" - but some would still be built with cooking, gamma-welding or laundry duty in mind.

It would probably fit the Dominion style to organize all the Solids under their rule into a strict species-based hierarchy. But the Founders might not trust the Solids enough for that. Why give the task of maintaining the Dominion war machine over to untrustworthy underlings, when it can be assigned to fanatically faithful special clone units instead? To make the Karemma the only torpedo builders in the Dominion would make the Dominion vulnerable to a Karemma uprising...

It may thus well be that the Founders allow the Solids to run their own economies in a way that keeps the Solids happy, but that there is no real link between the Solid economy and the actual logistical support of the Founders' protective military force.

I am perhaps misremembering this but when the Dominion started installing Breen energy dampening weapons aboard Jem'Hadar ships, it was Vorta engineers that were said to be doing the job.

I also recall that it was the Vorta who were working on a cure for the Founders' disease.

In the Dominion you just lay down and do what you're told or die slow with that plague that Dr Bashir couldn't even cure...the flange?
