Damn, I didn't know Trip died.

I know the show has been off the air for almost 10 years, but I'm currently watching the franchise and watching DS9, VOY, and ENT for the first time, so I wish there had been a spoiler warning.
He didn't die. Virtually all ENT fans regard that episode as invalid.

I'm an ENT fan but had to vote for O'Brien- he's just so cuddly!

Actually, he was a wraith, they made him believe that he was human but then he found the Dvds and the cat was pretty much out of the bag... Wait! Wrong series, never mind...

I think Torres was the best, she developed the most while the others were OK but kind of stuck as everymen.

I'm glad to see O'Brien get some love. I always felt that he served an almost thankless job sometimes, but that it would be okay because he went home to his wife and daughter every night.

Scotty's my second favorite, but really it's nice to see O'Brien and Scotty using tools, doing some physical labor in their depictions. My only irk with Torres and LaForge was that the vast majority of their engineering scenes were typing things into a computer. Even manual override had a keyboard (though to be fair, that's not their fault).

But O'Brien opening up a wall panel or Scotty in a Jeffries tube working gears and handing tools and crossing wires was often treated as just routine parts of the job. For O'Brien specifically, he could be working on a panel while the real story was him giving advice to Nog, or bickering with Bashir who was in a hallway looking to O'Brien in order to vent, or just something casual. To me that made the job more realistic, and more human.

I'm not suprised really, given that it might be fair to say that this board has a lean towards TOS/DSN. But saying that in may respects I think Scotty and O'Brien are fairly similar

O'Brien is everyone's punching ball.
