Poll Who wants new Star Trek: Picard subforum?

Looking at fashions while shopping with my daughters this weekend indicates that we are not far off.

 

I'm beginning to think that a new PICARD Forum is going to take as long to come about as it's taking the Judge to decide the Abdin vs CBS lawsuit.

I have a feeling that every time someone asks when it is going to happen it gets pushed back a day

 

Welp, we finally got a judgement in the Abdin vs CBS case this past Friday.

Surely that means that we will finally get a STAR TREK: PICARD Forum some time in the next year or so.
<snicker>

Depends on who ya ask.
I would surmise that more than a few folks still think it was a toss up.

 

Boyce: "Who wants a new Picard forum?"

Pike: "What makes you think I need one?"

Boyce: "Sometimes a man will tell his bartender things he'll never tell his Doctor. What's on your mind, Chris? The canon fight in the Rigel VII thread?"

Pike: "Shouldn't it be? My own yeoman banned and seven others warned."

Boyce: "Was there anything you personally could've done to prevent it?"

Pike: "I should've smelled trouble as soon as I saw the prequels and the reboots. Instead of that, I let myself get trapped in that fortress of a thread and attacked by one of their trolls!"

Boyce: "Chris, you set standards for yourself no one could meet. You treat every member of the board like a human being except yourself. Now you're tired and --"

Pike: "You bet I'm tired. You bet. I'm tired of being responsible for starting 203 threads, and I'm tired of deciding which topic is too risky and which isn't, and who gets a like and who doesn't, and which news source to follow... and which to ignore. I've had it, Phil."

 

There is nothing to suggest that a season of Picard will equal a year.

 

But even 24 separate seasons where taking place years apart from other. It would be hard to keep people looking exactly the same over 3+ real life years that it would take to film the 3 seasons if it’s meant to represent only few months in-universe. That’s why there are virtually no shows that try to pull that off.

 

If They announce an actual air date for PICARD this weekend, will we finally see a separate section in these forums for it?

I mean, I did...then I did grad school...

 

I think I've just overused mine through the years and found out more than I actually wanted to know.

 

Quick, someone take "The Picard Forum" as a Halloween name

 

Someone already put me up to something in that QS&F thread. You can see T'Bonz's response.

And I'm an ex-mod/OG poster. So if I didn't have any luck, then...

 

Picard is coming in 3 and half months. Can we get a new sub forum? Pretty pleaaase.

 

The wheels are hovering just an inch above the ground i hope. Just a little more time to gain traction.
