Who should Seven had ended up with?

The Doctor. He was the only one who seemed to be a close match both intellectually and emotionally/maturity-wise.

(Dang, I meant to attach a poll... :p)

Sorry, but while I'm all for giving the Doctor the rights of a sentient, I just can't go for a hologram-organic coupling. Now, if the Doc had secretly cloned/built an organic version of himself, to which he then transferred his consciousness via adapted Borg tech, then I might have gone for it...

Auxum would have been the tip of an iceberg leading to the resolution of a lot of issues as well as perhaps a meaningful and less iffy routing of the Borg.

No one. Why did she need to be paired off with someone, again? She didn't really have romantic chemistry with anyone.

I'm not usually a glass half full type of person, but if she had an equally deficient aptitude for romance, doesn't that really mean that she was poised to hook up with everyone on that ship?

Fair enough... though that makes her perfect for Redge - they're both too socially inept for anyone else! :rommie:

^^Yeah, that would have worked, too.
I wondered about that too... Way to start an in-Borg rebellion and then completely forget about them, your long-lost love included.

A random female crew member.
No objection here. Too bad T'Pol's dead! Their coupling would be so... logical. :p

I always thought the greatest love story was between Janeway and Seven. It wasn't sexual, of course, but it was that Adoptive Mother/Daughter struggle that, at times, provided some of the best character moments for both.

agreed. it was nice to see her explore her romantic side but she didn't have to end up with anyone. i always felt that they just kinda threw that angle in Endgame just to take up time or something.

Icheb deserved another shot at the prize just simply because he had more life left in store for him than the rest to recover form an awful relationship... But imagine an episode that from start to finish is a pisstake on the graduate... With that in mind a pairing between Janeway and icheb would be far more hilarious and fitting in with the theme.

"Captain janeway, are you trying to seduce me?"

(Which is what they were probably trying with Icheb and B'Elanna?)

Besides.

You're all forgetting Carey.

Before the ship was lost, back home, still in shooting range of his wife YOUNG Carey totally hit on Seven, tried to coheres a nooner out of the time travelling spy, so then why the hells wouldn't 70,000 light years between Joe and his bride grease his affections toward the Borgette?

NO! IT WAS NOT AN INNOCENT BUSINESS LUNCH BETWEEN COLLOGUES!!!

Capice?

A fair point. Allow me to clarify, then: I would have had Seven end up with no one on the series, but then show her and Redge canoodling at the Rikers' wedding. :bolian:

i could see that. the camera pans over the guests, we see Seven and Redge being all romantic and such. LaForge and Worf look at each other like, wtf and LaForge just shrugs his shoulders.

B'Elanna - they were very similar and I think they could probably both understand each others backgrounds and character traits better than anyone else on board. Both were 'hybrids' struggling with two warring halves of their identity. Both had deep-seated parental issues regarding abandonment. Both were outwardly strong, capable, highly intelligent women who were workaholics but with very vulnerable and conflicting inner lives.

No one. Why does she have to pair up with someone? She needs time to grow and develop into a mature person, and a few years in the Federation would be perfect. To tie herself down to a Voyager crew member before getting to know more than 147 people would be a bad decision.

^ Have you read any part of the thread? We're accepting nominations from the Alpha Quadrant's populace.

No way. B'Elanna needs someone who can handle her fiery side, who knows something or two about being rebellious, whereas Seven's defining feature is her preoccupation with efficiency.

Heck, as a semi-outsider all his life due to the VISOR, LaForge'd be a much better pick, imo. ;)
