Who should Seven choose?

Inspired by the C/7 and J/7 threads, I decided to make a poll that includes all the potential romantic interests for Seven... and to once and for all settle the question of the ultimate Seven pairing.

So, with that in mind...
Who do you think Seven should choose as her love partner?

I ship Seven in all possible combinations, lol, but if she had to choose she'd go with Janeway, I think. I can totally imagine her developing a certain infatuation for her mentor

I'd love to see more Seven/Doctor if I had to choose from all the other possibilities. They'd be sweet together.

I have no idea. I guess it depends on what you mean by "choose." For a romance? For a long-term relationship? Because at least as she was at the end of Voyager (I haven't read the post-Voyager books, and as we know, they aren't canon anyway ), I really don't think she was ready for a serious relationship. As I mentioned in one of the other threads, she was very young emotionally, so what she needs now and what she needs later aren't necessarily the same thing.

I mean, my niece just graduated from high school, and nobody should be picking out permanent partners for her either. I'd say Seven needs to get out there and find out about some individuals who aren't part of Voyager's crew first.

I couldn't vote for any of them. As I've stated in another thread, I don't see 7 as the kind of person who really needs to be in a long term relationship. Casual dating and friendships yes...LTRs, I just don't see it personally. Maybe in the future. Basically I agree with JustKate.

None of them. I know all of us perceive these characters from our indivdual point of views, so the way I see Seven, she doesn't need to pair up with anyonen nor do I have a need to see such a thing happen. At least not during her time on Voyager. Perhaps once she has settled down in Alpha Quadrant and grown as a person (human person), then she might be mature enough to be in a romantic relationship with someone.

I liked what they did on the show. Having the Dr. and his feelings but then having Seven go for Chakotay was pretty well done.

Actually, I rather liked the idea of Seven/Doctor, too - at least as a dramatic element on the show. I really can't imagine them actually ending up together, but it was interesting to watch.

Seriously, the way the whole thing was handled made it obvious the writers had no idea what the heck they were doing at the end there.

I think the two people she was most likely to have a fulfilling, balanced relationship with were Chakotay and Paris. They were both able to respect her intelligence and not shy away from her past or judge it.

My absolute choice, though, would be Paris. His light-hearted nature would be a nice counter-weight to her rigidity.

I vote for Harry Kim, because I thought him and Seven had some really great chemistry. I LOVE the part in "Revulsion" where they're in the mess hall and she casually asks him if he's in love with her, and then tells him to take off his clothes!! I'd have loved to see them get together.

With the choices given, I'd have to say Chakotay, and agree with KiraDax's reasoning for it. Also, Chakotay's established wisdom and sensitivity would serve a relationship well. HoloDoc would be a close second, and Harry Kim third. HoloDoc is a great partner for Seven, but better as a friend/compatriot than long-term romantic partner, though I'd be interested to see how it would work out. The reasons I can see why Kim would be a good partner aren't as good as Chakotay's, IMO. All or none of them could be made to work well, except Tom Paris, whose relationship with B'Elanna is one of my favorite elements of Voyager, and Neelix, who's just too... no.

That said, I think that ultimately none of them would be the best fit for Annika Hansen.

Ah, but Katie, isn’t that what makes the union so titillating? It's hard for us to imagine. A bit of the forbidden thrown in. Seven and a hologram, even if the hologram is the Doctor. They might not even be allowed to join the figurative country club. You know there would be a lot of people who wouldn’t be fond of the idea of her having sex with a hologram. Once you try a hologram, you'll stay with the program!
