Who should be the next BATMAN villain?!

Clearly, it has to be me.

My outrageous over-due library fines rockets me up to public enemy number one. I'm still reading the entire Gotham Library Sci-Fi collection; my house is wall to wall books. My interesting ability is that the plans I make don't make much sense, so it's hard for Batman to use logic against me.

You all are cool with the next Batman movie being a Loony Toons-esque chase comedy, aren't you?

Killer Croc as something more like he was originally envisioned. A "circus freak" turned hit-man who decides his day has come and sets up his boss and rivals for a big fall at Batman's hands so he can pick up the pieces. Throw in a subplot with someone like Zsasz and boom.

The Phantasm(any version), Hugo Strange, Clayface, Hush, Deathstroke, NightWing, Azrael.

Clayface.

Seeing him show up in the Arkham Games when I was starting to wonder if they were going to tackle him at all was one of the fondest surprises I had in the series.

The Phantasm (the Andrea Beaumont version)

These would be my choices, as well. I think I somewhat favor Hush, but I think their introductory stories probably have a lot to do with that. (I've been meaning to read Hush's later appearances for awhile; does anyone know if they're any good?)

. . . Scarface.

I'd love to see her in a film, but I'm not sure she could support an entire picture. As a supporting (perhaps even semi-sympathetic?) story, though, I think the character could be great.

However, if we could've picked a villain from one of the previous films, then I would choose Mr. Freeze. Heart of Ice was one of the best Batman: TAS episodes and I really appreciate the re-writing of Freeze's character. I know Batman and Robin incorporated some elements of it but I'd like to see a more serious take.

:bolian:

An expanded Heart of Ice could be a brilliant film.

Also, though it's a Joker story, I would really like to see the climax of "No Law and a New Order" (from the end of the No Man's Land maxi-series) adapted for the screen someday.

I guess one of the reasons I'm asking is because I'm a huge fan of the Arkham video games. They are easily my favorite version of the Batman universe. They've focused a lot on the big villains, but they've also managed to give some attention to some of the lesser-knowns.

The advertising for "Arkham Origins" put an especially big emphasis on Deathstroke, but in the actual game he ended up not having that big a role.

Also, does Batman have any good female villains? Poison Ivy, Catwoman, and Talia are the only ones I can think of, and the latter two are only villains if the story requires it. Half the time they double as Batman's love interests.

I'd like to see Clayface, but Clayface as originally intended, not the 90s cartoon sci-fi version. Hugo Strange would be cool too.

Some of the characters (like Penguin) are characters I'd like to actually see done right. I know that doesn't fall under the rules, but I feel like it's Bane. Bane in Batman and Robin doesn't count, so The Dark Knight Rises could use him again.

Basil Karlo (the non sci-fi version of the character, like I said). Although the 90s cartoon (where I first learned of the character) did conflate the origin of the original with the powers of Matt Hagen. But the idea is a man with a thousand faces inspiration of just an actor who is a master of disguise.
