Who is Your Favorite Starfleet Admiral?

Admiral Alexander Marcus. It takes balls the size of a solar system to think you can blackmail Khan Noonien Singh into building ships and weapons for your war against the Klingon Empire.

J.P. Hansen from Best of Both Worlds. A good, competent officer. Very professional, but still with his humanity in tact.
I wasn't impressed with Hanson. In BoBW, Hanson looked and sounded like he just woke up from a nap. He came across like an old geezer, like he had one foot in retirement. :( I don't know if it was due to the acting or what, but the performance was lousy imho. I found it hard to believe that Hanson would inspire confidence in Picard or anybody else.

Admiral Ross, easily. I also like Admiral Forrest and Admiral Cornwell. If Kelvin Timeline Pike counts, he'd make my list too.

If we can count Commodores, I was a fan of Wesley and Stone also.

Which is odd, as you'd think he'd be known as "President Archer"
There were people in the US military who continued to think of Eisenhower as "General Eisenhower" even after he was elected President.
It's the same with other generals who became president, Generals Washington and Grant immediately come to mind as being better known as military officers than elected officials.

Washngton being the "father of our country" comes mostly from leading the military during the revolutionary war than his time in office.

Gotta love that Admiral Quinn, Picard's old buddy who got taken over by a parasite, beat the tar out of Riker, threw Geordi through a wall, and probably would have taken out Worf too.

"Vitamins, they do wonders for the body."

Admiral William Ross

-- They certainly do!

Admiral Alexander Marcus followed very closely by Admiral Maxwell Forrest.

Also, where is everybody getting Admiral Necheyev's first name is "Alynna?" Was that ever stated onscreen?
